How we make our tallow

Curious how we make our tallow so pure and skin loving?  Let’s break down our rendering process that ensures the cleanest, most nourishing tallow for your skincare needs:

Premium Ingredients: We use fully certified organic, grass-fed beef suet, sourced locally to ensure the highest quality and maximum nutrients.

Wet Rendering: Our first render is done with filtered water and Celtic sea salt. Why filtered water? It ensures no unwanted impurities or minerals interfere with the process, giving you the cleanest tallow possible. The Celtic sea salt doesn’t just purify it infuses trace minerals that provide extra benefits for your skin!

Strain & Scrape: Once rendered, we strain the liquid tallow through a fine mesh strainer and cheesecloth to remove solids, then let it set. After draining the excess water, we scrape off any impurities before the purification step.

Single Purification: We render it again with filtered water and Celtic sea salt for extra purity. After this step, we find there are next to no impurities left, but we still give it one final scrape to ensure even the tiniest particles are removed.

The result? Clean, odor-neutral, nutrient-dense tallow that’s perfect for crafting our luxurious balms. Every step is intentional, giving your skin the love and nourishment it deserves.

It is then ready for us to mix with our jojoba oil and essential oils in small batches.
